I have to do a communication speech, a persuasive speech, and I chose to do Pilate’s. I’m having trouble thinking about what exactly I am going to say, because I like it because I practice it.

Just thought I’d ask you guys for some advice. I need three main points, I thought of

I. History of Pilate’s.
II. Possible causes of injuries.
III. Advantages of Pilate’s.

The best ways to convince someone of anything is that there is a problem with their current lifestyle and that there’s an easily accessible and obviously beneficial way of improving it. Here are some points you could use:

1. Pilates is low-cost
2. Pilates can be done from home
3. Risk of injury is minimal
4. Most Americans do not exercise at all. This causes health problems, and pilates is one way to improve this condition.
5. It doesn’t take much time

Ask yourself why you do pilates. It’s not the most scientific and intense workout but obviously there are some benefits. Try not to mention the same points as all the hype. It is by no means the most effective work out scheme out there, I will tell you that now. Focus on the points I mentioned more.

Horaayy..there are 2 comment(s) for me so far ;)

You can ask your audience if they feel they are in need of exercise and toning their body. Then go into your speech about why pilates is a great way to get into shape and tone your body.
