March 16, 2010I M now in 2 nd semester.and government engg. college IN INDIA…u know d condition is d govt. colleges.i m poor so i got addmission at govt.engg.college…i have got good grades in 12 th scienece..
my question is;
in private colleges they r teaching good and all is good..now i ve passed my 2 nd sem with good marks without coaching class..
my collegde teachers r not good teaching..they r freshers….
and i m dependent only my self study….i m good satisfy…
BUT I M WORRIED THAT THEY WILL TEACH US SOME PROJECTS LIKE U KNOW ,,ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS ..ETC..
SO I M WORRING THTT IN FUTURE TAKING A JOB.,THEY WILL ONLY CONCENTRATE MY MARKS..I M ALSO GOOD IN ORAL COMMUNICATION…
DUE TO MY POORNESS.,I GOT THEIR GOVERNMENT COLLEGE…SO THERE IS ANY PROBLEM TOWARDS MY FUTURE??????

first of all i would like to say that d field that u have chosen – telecommunications, is a very good one.
Secondly, i would like to suggest is that u are too worried about your jobs and stuff. What i would suggest is work harder on ur acads n try getting decent scores in all of your terms. Don’t get worried about jobs, you do a descent work in ur colg look for sum extra-curricular activities as they will enhance ur resume. Also look to participate in various festivals around d city. Basically strengthen your resume by doing a lot of activities make sure you don’t get any KT’s throughout and it would be very gud if you are a first class all the four years. Since i m also in your field i tell you from ma experience durin jobs where u’ll apply which mostly would be IT companies they wont expect much knowledge on your side all they would expect from you is a descent score and an equally good aptitude. so dont worry enjoy your 4 yrs!!!
What i would like to suggest you looking at your written English is to join a nice course for learning English coz your written English will not at all be accepted out there in the market. you might be good at your communication skills but u have to convey your message in English which looks difficult to me in your case

any employer will be wanting to find these things in a his workers…
education,experience and character!!!!…however…there is a big difference between education and marks especially in practical faculties….so…I think that u’ll be tested practically and that will decide every thing when u apply for a job!!…u have NOTHING to worry about!!!….good luck

Hi there! Well to begin with…there’s possibly no way that your oral communication could be better coz ur not even half as good with ur writing skills.
As for ur worries about academics ..i can tell u about people who’ve got more than 15 arrears in their B.E degree but are placed in companies like Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & the like. They had a lot more to them than just a good academic profile.
Work hard…try n stay above 70% in aggregate. Or at least get a 65%. Go for projects/ training in companies like nokia, siemens or any electronics company. Try & gather some training certificates. That’s gonna offset ur poor academics. I’m sure u’l do well!
It’s people like u who eventually earn a lot!

dont worry dude.. u’ll hav a great future.. the fact is, wherever u study, u wont get practical knowledge in india. so based on theorytical knowledge and mark, u’ll get d job in mnc’s… from there u’ll build ur career based on practical knowledge.. its all about grabbing opportunities in mnc’s rather than wherever study.. clear dude..
